Senators Ahmed Lawan (Yobe) and George Akume (Benue) have been nominated to run as the All Progressives Congress' candidates for the office of Senate President and Deputy Senate President respectively.

They both won the APC primaries conducted late Saturday night at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.
