Kwara Utd greets Ahmed

The management of Kwara United FC of Ilorin yesterday congratulated the Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed on his victory at the April 11 polls.

Secretary of the club, Elder Dele Oguntokun, said in a statement that the governor's re-election confirmed his selfless service to people of the state.

"Aside helping Kwara United to gain promotion to the elite league last season, he has brought positive changes to the state's sport sector as testified by his recent honour as the Best Governor in Sports and Youth recently," the statement said.

The club management also congratulated former commissioners of sports in the state, Dr. Abubakar Kannike and Mr. Saheed Popoola, for their triumph at the election which saw the former proceeding to House of Representatives and the latter entering the state's House of Assembly.
