Kwara NULGE praises Gov Ahmed for industrial peace
The Kwara State branch of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) has applauded the state Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, for industrial harmony in the state.
It also commended the governor for ensuring that no local government workers lost their job with regularization of casual workers in spite of the national economic meltdown.
A statement jointly signed by the state NULGE President and Secretary, Adamu Umar and Afolabi Abayomi, which was made available to The Herald in Ilorin yesterday, also appreciated the state government for its concerted efforts in paying council workers salaries despite reduction in monthly allocation to the state.
The union also thanked the governor for approving the promotion and distribution of letters to all qualified local government staff in cognizant of lean purse of the government.
