Kwara PDP members urged to be united and focused

Date: 2014-11-24

Members of the Peoples Democratic Party in Kwara State, North Central Nigeria have been advised to eschew divisive utterances but rather stay united to ensure the party's victory in the forth coming general elections.

In a statement signed by a leader of the party in the state, Barrister Kunle Sulyman urged party faithful to be focused and support one another as all effort is being geared towards impacting positively on the well being of the people of the State.

Ward congresses

On the recently concluded ward delegate congresses, he debunked the sundry rumours about the manipulation of delegates list and other allegations that arose, describing it as complete falsehood to distract the party.

Barrister Sulyman, however, reaffirmed the party's commitment to resist any unwholesome tendency to alter the delegates list, advising those with such agenda to steer clear.

Complete falsehood

He described as complete falsehood; insinuations making the rounds that one of the party's stalwart, Hajia Bola Shagaya were backing a gubernatorial aspirant against others.

"Hajia Shagaya has also remained totally neutral in the competition among the aspirants, stressing that she had always supported all gubernatorial and other aspirants in all ramifications," Barrister Sulyman added.

He restated the determination of the party to continue to support her leadership towards positively impacting on the party and ensuring all round victory in the coming general elections.

Barrister Sulyman therefore called on party faithful to remain steadfast, resolute and collaborate with one another to achieve the much anticipated result.
