He stated that the corporation supported its Ilorin zonal office to upgrade the rehabilitation centre by giving it a befitting kitchen, adding that the donated food items was for the up-keep and welfare of the inmates.

The Zonal Controller of NDIC, Ilorin Zonal Office, Mr. Ferdinand M. Jego, said the zonal office had been donating food items and other essential materials to the centre on monthly basis in the past two years.

He also called on other corporate organisations, groups – such as faith-based organisations and good-spirited individuals, and philanthropists to always assist the centre and other social homes.

He added that the government alone could not effectively and efficiently care for the less privileged in the society.

The Director, Rehabilitation in the Ministry of Social Development, Kwara State, Mr. Olarewaju Ajani, lauded the corporation for the gesture.

He stated that NDIC's gesture would greatly motivate other corporate organisations to assist the centre and other social homes in the country.
