In her address, Mrs. Dame Patience Jonathan warned women in the country not to sell their voter's cards, emphasising that the card represented their "conscience and power" to choose a leader that would promote the wellbeing of women.
Mrs. Jonathan said president Jonathan had "given a voice to Nigerian women by implementing the 35 per cent affirmative action by fulfilling his electoral promises".
"Women couldn't have had it better, Jonathan is the answer ,PDP is the right party", she said.
She urged women to register and seek elective offices during the 2015 election, describing them as "agents of positive change".
"Don't sell your voter's card, your voter's card is your conscience, is your power, if they bring money collect their money but don't sell your voter's card", she added
Mrs. Jonathan implored the women to continue to pray for an end to insurgency in the country.
"I urge you to pick up the olive branch and subscribe to be agents of peace in Nigeria, we want you to pray for an end to insurgency in our nation for God to touch the hearts of the insurgents. Remember that those who are dying are our children and husbands", she said.
