Nigeria in need of good governance -Tambuwal
Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, yesterday urged Nigerians to vote out President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015.
He called on Nigerians to vote for a candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) "for prosperity and poverty eradication," adding that Nigeria is in dire need of good governance.
Speaking in Ilorin, Kwara State, during the second term declaration of Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed, Tambuwal said Nigerians would witness peace and progress by voting out Jonathan.
"What we are witnessing today in Nigeria is not governance, but mis-governance. We have a system that does not have the interest of the people at heart. It is therefore incumbent on us as a people to turn out en-masse and vote out Goodluck Jonathan," he said.
Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State, also urged Nigerians to vote for APC and defend their votes against rigging. He urged them not to be intimidated by soldiers and policemen.
On his part, Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano State said: "We are removing the incompetent government in Abuja. By voting for APC, we are bringing in employment for our young men and women, we are voting for peace and development in Kwara and Nigeria."
