Court Remands Pastor for Allegedly Snatching Cars at Gunpoint

A pastor of a church in Kwara State, has been charged with three counts of armed robbery.

The 37-year-old pastor, Adebambo Adetunji, is allegedly a member of a robbery gang notorious for snatching cars and robbing victims of their valuable possessions at gun point, Punch reports.

It was a series of the gang's operations between April and July 2014 that led to them being caught. During that period, they are said to have stolen cars around Ojota bus stop, and also stole devices like iPads, computers, mobile phones, etc.

Victims reported the robbery incidents to police, who were able to trace the crimes to the pastor and his gang. They were on the run for a while, before being arrested.

The case has been adjourned till December 3rd, 2014.
