Governor Saraki commiserates with Oshiomhole
Dr Saraki in a condolence message to the deceased family, the Government and people of Edo State, described the death of Mrs Oshiomhole as a rude shock and monumental loss.
The Governor urged the widower, Comrade Oshiomhole to take solace and regard the death of his wife as an act of God, believing that Almighty Allah (S.W.A) gives and takes away life at the appointed time.
Death he said was the ultimate end of every living soul on earth which would come at God’s designated time.
He prayed God to grant the repose of the deceased eternal rest and family the fortitude to bear the tragic loss.
The late Mrs Oshiomhole, aged 54 years died on Tuesday night after an unsuccessful battle with cancer related illness.
It would be recalled that the Nigeria’s Governors’ Forum’s meeting that was scheduled for tomorrow (Thursday) in Abuja was cancelled in honour of the bereaved governor, Comrade Oshiomhole.
In a related development, Dr. Saraki also sympathized with the former Governor of Kwara State, Alhaji Mohammed Sha’aba Lafiagi on the death of one of his daughters, Mrs Habibat Aliu Mohammed at the age of 42 years.
Saraki, who described the death of Mrs Mohammed as a terrible loss, enjoined Alhaji Lafiagi to take solace in God.
He prayed God to grant the repose of the deceased Aljanat Fridaouz and the family left behind the courage to bear the loss.
