'Entrepreneurship education, solution to unemployment'

Date: 2014-09-25

For Nigeria to address the challenge of unemployment, there is need for students to be exposed to entrepreneurship knowledge from primary school to the tertiary institution level.

Entrepreneurship education, according to the Chief Executive Officer of Husna Nigeria Limited, Malam Musa Aliyu, would make the students job creators right from their school days.

The Kano-based entrepreneur stated this in a lecture on "Importance of Entrepreneurship Education" at the end of a summer programme organised by Balogun Gambari Youth Development Association held at Karuma Primary School Ilorin, Kwara State.

He noted that inculcating the ideal of entrepreneurship on students would also boost the country's gross domestic product (GDP).

He said every unemployed Nigerian must think of creating wealth rather than waiting endlessly for the non-existent white collar jobs from government.
