The Kwara State Government has been urged to, as palliative measure, fill potholes along Tsaragi - Patigi Road in the state, pending the rehabilitation of the road by the Federal Government.

This was part of the resolution reached by the House of Assembly, following a motion of matters of General Public Importance raised by the member representing Edu constituency, Audu Seidu Liman on the deplorable condition of roads in Edu and Patigi Local Government Areas.

The road, according to the legislator had gone from bad to worse, due to numerous potholes.

Reading the resolution of the House, the Deputy Speaker, Professor Mohammed Gana Yisa, who presided over the session, commended the state government for its zero tolerance for potholes on roads in the state and urged it to extend the gesture to other parts of the state.

The lawmakers equally urged the state government to repair Tsaragi - Shonga Road in view of its strategic socio - economic importance to the state.

It also urged the state Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed to approve the purchase and installation of 500kva transformer for Idiaro community in Ilorin metropolis to address inadequate power supply caused by incessant breakdown of the transformer.

The resolution of the state lawmakers, followed the presentation of a report by the Committee on Energy, Works and Transport on request for a transformer for the Idiaro community by Hassan Oyeleke, representing Essa,Shawo,Igbodun constituency.

The House also directed two of its members to sponsor motions on proliferation of illegal motor garages in Ilorin metropolis and erection of unapproved bumps on roads across the state.
