A housewife, Sadiat Dauda, on Friday sought for the dissolution to her two-year-old marriage to Dauda Salawudeen over an alleged threat to make her insane.

The plaintiff told a Kaiama Area Court in Kwara that she was no longer interested in the union that was blessed with a child because there was no more love.

"My husband uses a language that I don't understand whenever we have a quarrel. He would tell me that I will pick paper in my life," she told the court.

The aggrieved wife lamented that her husband did not bother to find out where he was since she parked out of their matrimonial home five months ago.

However, the respondent argued that the wife's threat to kill him made him to utter the statement.

Salawudeen pleaded with the court to beg his wife so that they could reunite again.

He said he was still in love with her and promised a positive change in his relationship with her.

In his ruling, the presiding officer, Malam Ahmed Yahaya, urged the plaintiff to consider the reconciliation move by her husband.

Yahaya adjourned the case to June 23 for a report of possible reconciliation. (NAN)
