Governor Ahmed approves N1.6b for construction of schools
The project involves the construction of 244 classrooms across the 16 local government areas of the state. Under the scheme, two junior secondary schools per local government area are to benefit from a minimum of 2 blocks of classrooms and the office of the headmaster, furniture and supply of science equipment.
Making the announcement in Ilorin, the state capital, Governor Ahmed said the projects were aimed at building a solid foundation for education in the state through the promotion of basic education. The governor restated his determination to improve the welfare of the people of Kwara State through the timely and efficient implementation of development programs.
