Army appoints Akomolafe as Commander of 22 Brigade, Sobi
The Nigerian Army has appointed Brig.- Gen. James Akomolafe as the Brigade Commander for the 22 Armoured Brigade, Nigerian Army, Sobi, Ilorin.
This was contained in a statement issued on Sunday in Ilorin by Capt. Kolawole Bello, the Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, in the brigade.
The statement said the new commander was until his appointment the Chief of Staff at the headquarter of the 3 Armoured Division in Jos, Plateau.
It said the commander, who had since assumed duty at Sobi Barrack, promised to improve the already existing good relationship between the army and residents.
The statement also said Akomolafe promised to maintain peaceful co-existence with other government agencies and the media.
