Registration: APC chieftain lauds massive turnout in Kwara

Date: 2014-02-14

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, Mr Bode Towoju, has lauded the  turnout for the party registration exercise in his Kwara South senatorial district.

Towoju, said this while speaking with newsmen on Thursday in Abuja, adding that the Kwara South senatorial district to which he belongs would begin to witness the true dividends of democracy.

He said that APC would not practice politics of exclusion, the reason he said, the party made its registration open to all members of the public.

Towoju said that the party registration was the first of its kind since Nigeria began its democratic experience, saying the APC would teach other political parties democratic norms.

The APC chieftain, who described the turn out as unprecedented, called on the people not to rest on their oars until the People's Democratic Party (PDP) was sacked from ruling the country.

He said that with the registered number of people in the party, the APC was poised for victory in the 2015 general election.

The part chieftain said that it had started its change with the distribution of 3,000 exercise books across his constituency in Irepodun, Ekiti, Isin, and Oke-Ero LGAs.
