"Technical/vocational education panacea to unemployment"

Governments and stakeholders have been urged to focus more on technical and vocational education in the nation's education curriculum so as to make students self-reliant after graduation.
The provost, Kwara State College of Education (Technical), Lafiaji, Dr. Isiaka Alhasan made the appeal in Ilorin in a chat with newsmen.
According to him, the rate of unemployment in Nigeria calls for proactive action towards reducing the rate and also to pave way for more job opportunities for youths as many graduates are being rendered idle after graduation.
"Technical and vocational education remains the only solution to unemployment and can also bring about industrialization technological advancement in developing Nation" he said
 Alhassan also implored parents to encourage their wards in skills and vocational education to make the job creator.
