Opinion:Police BCMR project by Olu Aina
It appears having the particulars of the owner of a vehicle have been proved insufficient for the police to tract down the offender. About 20 years ago in Ilorin, a vehicle ran into my own and the offender escaped.
I took the number plate to the police who were able to get both his name and address but no arrest was made.
I personally went to the compound written on the papers but no result. People change places of abode or work. The police should consider public opinion in carrying out their functions.
