Felix: NPL title within ABS' reach

Date: 2012-04-18

ABUBAKAR Bukola Saraki (ABS) have vowed to give the Nigeria Premier League title a chase, after surviving a potential relegation scare in the first stanza of the league.

An ABS ace Daniel Ekene Felix, who spoke to NationSport in Abuja, revealed that the target of the team now is the league shield.

"Initially it was very tough for us," Ekene admitted, "but we thank God that we are out of the relegation zone. He continued:

"We were disappointed to lose the match against Sharks FC in Port Harcourt because we needed victory to consolidate our winning runs. But, be that as it may, that is over; what is left for us now is to put our acts together in the second stanza of the league to give our best and ensure that we finish in the continental range before the end of the season."

"We have all it takes to win the trophy; it is not impossible," Ekene maintained.
