KWSG Introduces Toll-free Number for Enquiries

Date: 2015-10-25

The Kwara State Government has introduced a toll free phone number for enquiries, suggestions and complaints about governance in the State. The Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communications to the governor, Dr. Muyideen Akorede, who disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, noted that the toll-free line-08001000100 is part of efforts of the State government to ensure transparency in governance and to create a feedback mechanism between it and the people.

According to the statement, the phone number, 08001000100, can be reached between 10am and 6pm Monday to Friday. The statement urged the public to always call the number for enquiries on government services or clarification on issues relating to governance and developments of Kwara State, while encouraging them not to lend credence to fallacious accounts of events and fabrications that lack substance.

"We encourage our people rely on this free number for authentic information and enquiries on governance issues and government services," the statement reads.

It will be recalled that the media team of the Kwara State government recently launched a website, "www.kwarareports.com", which according to the team, will provide the public with reports on activities of Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed and his team such as meetings, courtesy visits and other events not available on other government media platforms.
