Kwara budgets N600m for power generation

Date: 2014-08-19

Kwara State Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed, has said about N600 million has been earmarked as part of his government’s strategic efforts to boost power generation in the state.

The governor dropped this hint while addressing members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, at the party’s first stakeholders meeting in the party’s secretariat in Ilorin.

This, he said, would further ensure constant electricity supply to all parts of the state.

According to him, the government would continue to do everything within its resources at meeting the developmental needs of the state.

Ahmed, in a scorecard of his administration’s achievements, noted that before the end of the year government would have actively engaged 8,000 youths in its various empowerment programmes.
