Osun guber: Stop celebrating, PDP tells Kwara APC

Date: 2014-08-11

The Kwara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, yesterday said the outcome of the weekend poll in Osun State would not be what to expect in Kwara in the 2015 general elections.

Reacting to the Osun results, Kwara PDP spokesman, Chief Rex Olawoye, said: "The variables that led to the victory of the APC in Osun State are acutely lacking in Kwara State.

The PDP says the variables that led to the victory of the APC in Osun State are not enough for the APC in Kwara to rejoice yet. What obtains in Osun State are acutely lacking in Kwara State.

"We make bold to say that the Osun case is a different ball game compared to Kwara. Whereas Ogbeni Aregbesola is beholden to no other powers and principalities, apart from the people of Osun State, the Kwara governor has been bedeviled by the shackles of godfatherism.

"He has, from day one of his administration, been under the remote control of a single man that has refused to take his mouth from the feeding bottle, even after his eight years of uneventful governance of Kwara State.
