Kwara warns school authorities against illegal NECO fees
A statement made available to The Herald by the ministry said that the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Alhaji Lamidi Alabi, gave the warning at the briefing of the principals held at Queen Elizabeth School Hall, Ilorin.
The statement stated that the permanent secretary reminded the principals that only a maximum of N11/400.00 was approved by the ministry.
He disclosed that the approved fees include the examination fees, administrative charges and on-line registration fees.
He however warned the principals to desist from collecting any money above what is officially approved by the ministry, saying that sanctions are already in place for defiance to the directive.
He urged the parents who have paid more than the approved fees to report to the ministry for the purpose of refund of the excess payment.
