Saraki is a purposeful leader -NANS

Date: 2013-09-11

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has commended the former Governor of Kwara State, Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki for his contribution to the association.

The National Students body through the Public Relations Officer, Comrade Victor Olaogun has described Senator Saraki as a purposeful leader whose  qualities  earned him  the admiration of all the Nigerian students, adding that Saraki is one person that will not rent a crowd in pursuit of any political goal because he is a natural politician endowed with leadership qualities.

Victor made this remark in a statement issued in Abuja saying the Students' Union had been in dire need of  logistics to enhance its mobilization and sensitization campaigns which has been boosted by the contributions of Senator Saraki through the provision of information gadgets for the Office of the PRO.

The information gadgets, according to Comrade Victor will enhance adequate information management across all tertiary institutions in the pursuit of protecting the rights of the Nigerian students.

On the lingering industrial crisis by the Academic Staff Union of Nigerian Universities,  he urged well meaning Nigerians like Senator Saraki to use their good offices to intervene in the crisis which is becoming a national embarrassment  for the PDP led Federal Government.

The statement further asserted the resolve to always support the cause of Senator Saraki, a man it described as not a benefactor but a leader of the Nigerian students.

On the  good governance tour intended by his office, Victor restated the commitment of  the students to exploiting all available windows in assessing the impact of the programmes of the State governments on the students.
