2015 Elections'll Determine Nigeria's Continued Existence - Lai Mohammed

Date: 2013-07-18

The 2015 general elections will not be about who wins the presidential election, but will be about the continued existence of Nigeria as a nation, the national publicity secretary of the Action Congress of Nigeria (A CN), Alh. Lai Mohammed has said.

Mohammed who is also the Interim National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressive Congress (APC), told newsmen in his Oro country home, Kwara state yesterday that the political situation in the country is creating a challenge of how the county could sustain its corporate entity after the 2015 election.

He spoke with newsmen shortly after the 7th Annual Lai Mohammed Ramadan Lecture held in the town.

Mohammed also disclosed that the yet to be registered APC would not only field candidates for all elective offices in the 2015 elections but would win majority of seats in all the elections.

He added, "the 2015 elections will not be about one party replacing the other or about one president being replaced with another. 2015 elections will determine whether Nigeria will continue to stay as one country. It will be about how we avert another imminent civil war again, that is why the leaders of APC must be able to make the ultimate sacrifice to rescue Nigeria.
