The Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed has disclosed that over 30,000 Micro, Small and Medium scale enterprises including artisans in Kwara State benefitted from the State Government's N250million revolving credit scheme.
Governor Ahmed who announced this during the inauguration of the Kwara State Artisan Congress, an umbrella body for all artisans in the State, said another tranche of N100million would be disbursed in the next few weeks.

The Governor who said members of the artisan congress would be part of the beneficiaries said "the forthcoming N100m intervention is part of our continuing efforts to boost the informal sector through entrepreneurship promotion, capacity building through training and the provision of affordable credit"
The Governor who described artisans as major players in economic development, said the group should maximise its restructuring to the benefit of members by taking advantage of the numerous opportunities created by his administration.

Ahmed reiterated that as a labour-friendly government, his administration was one of the first in the country to implement the national minimum wage while workers salaries, promotions and other incentives, including trainings have been regular.
