Addressing a press conference to unveil the new model, the state Commissioner for Commerce and Co-operatives, Alhaji Raji Mohammed, said the state government has assisted in the formation of co-operative society with financial support for the benefit of the people.

He said, "Last year, the Kwara State government through no fewer than 10 Micro-Finance banks which cut across the state doled out N250million to Kwara residents comprising Kwarans, non-Kwarans as well as non-Nigerian. In fact, our pride is empowering the poor.

"It is our hope that the vocational centre at Ajasse-Ipo in the Ifelodun local government would complement the efforts of the state Civil Service Commission by absorbing quite a number of youths in the areas of skill acquisition after which graduands would be provided with working capitals to kick-start their respective professions."
