Kwara Utd Ease Past Nembe City
Kwara United recorded a 2-0 home win over a stubborn Nembe City at the Kwara State Stadium in the NPFL Week 8 game.
After a goalless first half, Kabiru Sanusi struck in the 50th minute to put the hosts in front and calm the nerves of the home fans, who still had fresh memories of their surprising home loss to Nasarawa United in Week 6.
Nojeem Olokokun scored ten minutes later with his third of the campaign to seal the win and ensure the Afonja Warriors got all the points at stake.
Kwara United had not secured a win since their 1-0 victory against Heartland in Week 4, losing successively to Rangers and Nasarawa United before drawing their last game away to Enyimba in Aba.
