Kwara SWAN expresses worry over Kwara Utd, ABS performances
ABS picked four points from six matches so far, and has lost a game at home, while Kwara United also lost their last home match to Nassarawa United on Wednesday.
SWAN believed that the two teams are well motivated enough to do the state proud in the league this season, as they urged the management of the two teams to address their problems before it is too late.
The sports writing body also called on the stakeholders to join forces with the management of the two teams in solving whatever problem identified.
SWAN also called on the Kwara state government, under the able leadership of Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed to provide a new 32-seater Coaster bus for the state darling team, Kwara United, so as to avoid a repeat of the scenario in their away match to Rangers.
In a related development, the chapter has condoled with the family of late Kunle Alade, former sports reporter with Compass Newspapers. Alade was reported dead in his sleep on Thursday in Lagos.
Kwara SWAN also condole Lagos chapter of the body, National SWAN and the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) on the demise of the fearless writer, who no doubt contributed immensely to the development of sports in the country.
"We pray Almighty Allah to grant the family and the sports writer community the fortitude to bear the great loss."
