Governor AbdulRazaq Declares Kwara a Locked-In State for President Tinubu

Date: 2026-10-19

Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has declared that Kwara will deliver a seamless victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as both major political parties in the state are aligned behind the President's leadership.

Speaking at the Kwara State Government House during a visit by the Director-General of the Presidential Campaign, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, Governor AbdulRazaq noted that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) commands a solid 70% majority in the state, while the People's Democratic Party (PDP) holds 30%.

The Governor emphasised that with PDP National Leader Nyesom Wike actively supporting President Tinubu, the opposition's base in Kwara is effectively working alongside the APC for the President's vision.

"With 70% APC and 30% PDP both backing President Tinubu, Kwara will be one of the easiest states to secure, as the two main political forces are voting for the same goal," Governor AbdulRazaq stated.
