Kwara Govt Establishes Patient Medical Assistance Trust Fund
The Kwara State Hospitals Management Board (KWHMB) has established the Patient Medical Assistance Trust Fund to provide timely financial support to hospital patients who are unable to afford essential medical care.
The initiative is designed to ensure that no patient in state hospitals is denied treatment due to financial hardship.
The Trust Fund will source funds through donations from corporate social responsibility initiatives and individuals to cover critical treatments, surgeries and medications for indigent patients.
By bridging the gap between medical need and affordability, the Trust Fund reflects KWHMB's commitment to equity, compassion and improved access to healthcare for all residents of Kwara State.
