Emir of Ilorin Congratulates Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero on AKSU Honorary Doctorate
The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, has congratulated the 15th Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, CFR, on the award of an honorary Doctor of Arts (D.A.) degree by the Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU).
Describing the recognition as thoroughly deserved, Alhaji Sulu-Gambari noted that the monarch is a detribalised Nigerian whose extensive experience as a traditional ruler exemplifies nationalism, patriotism and humility.
The commendation was conveyed in a statement issued on Monday by the Emir's Press Secretary, Dr Abdulazeez Arowona.
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari stated that the honorary degree was bestowed in acknowledgement of the Emir of Kano's exemplary leadership, steadfast commitment to national unity and meaningful contributions to societal development.
The Emir of Ilorin also extended his congratulations to the management of Akwa Ibom State University on the successful hosting of its 9th to 12th Combined Convocation Ceremony.
He equally shared his delight with fellow honorary awardees, Alhaji Muhammadu Indimi, who received a Doctor of Business Administration, and Mr Uwem Stephen Okoko, honoured with a Doctor of Engineering, alongside all graduands at the ceremony.
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari prayed that Almighty Allah would continue to strengthen His Royal Highness, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, CFR, CNOL, JP, to further champion educational advancement in Nigeria and the broader benefit of humanity.
