Balogun Fulani Community Development Association Elects New Executives
The Balogun Fulani Community Development Association has elected a new set of executive members to steer its affairs for the next two years.
At the end of the election, Alhaji Ibrahim Yusuf Kolo emerged as President, Alhaji Shehu Baba Oniyangi was elected Vice President, while Alaya Mohammed Issa was chosen as General Secretary and Gambari Yahaya Ganiyu will serve as Assistant General Secretary.
Other elected officers include Muhydeen Muhammed Kehinde as Treasurer; Hassan Musa Kawu as Financial Secretary; Raji Babatunde Olororo as Assistant Financial Secretary; Yunus Saheed Obalowu as Public Relations Officer; and Mustapha Soliu as Internal Auditor.
The newly elected executives were sworn in shortly after the election by Barrister Mohammed Aladie, who charged them to uphold the constitution of the association and serve with integrity, transparency and dedication.
In his acceptance speech, the new President, Alhaji Ibrahim Yusuf Kolo, expressed appreciation to members of the association for the confidence reposed in him and his team.
He pledged that the new leadership would justify the trust placed in them and work to promote unity, peace and sustainable development within the community.
Alhaji Kolo extended gratitude to key stakeholders and supporters of the association's programmes, including the Chairman of Ilorin South Local Government Area, Alhaji Abdulmajid Podo; Alhaji Mohammed Salihu Olowo; and Major General Ibrahim Babatunde Alaya.
He also commended Barrister Hajarat Bolanle Oniyangi, Alhaji Idrees Taiye Eyinofi, Barrister Abubakar Sidiq Akewushola, Alhaji Abdulazeez Isiaq Alaya and Hon. Mariam Yusuf Aladi for their contributions to youth education and community development in Balogun Fulani.
The President further acknowledged the support of the Balogun Fulani of Ilorin, Alhaji Sidiq Abubakar Atiku Fulani, describing his guidance as instrumental to the association's progress.
Alhaji Kolo assured members that the newly inaugurated executive council would build on the achievements of past administrations by initiating programmes aimed at empowering youths, strengthening community engagement and accelerating development within the association.
