NSCDC Kwara Decorates 200 Newly Promoted Officers
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kwara State Command, on Tuesday decorated 200 newly promoted officers, emphasizing its commitment to discipline and enhanced security service delivery throughout the state.
The decoration ceremony, held at the State Command Headquarters in Ilorin, was led by the State Commandant, Dr. Umar Mohammed. During his address, Dr. Umar described the promotions as a mark of trust and a call to higher responsibility, urging the officers to justify their new ranks through hard work and integrity.
"Promotion is a mark of trust and a call to greater responsibility," Dr. Umar stated, adding that elevation in rank demands a renewed commitment to operational efficiency and higher discipline.
The Commandant expressed his gratitude to the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and the Commandant-General of the Corps, Prof. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, for their transformative leadership and for championing a merit-driven promotion process that has boosted personnel morale nationwide.
For those still awaiting their turn, Dr. Umar assured them that the corps remains dedicated to fairness and due process in career advancement.
Responding on behalf of the promotees, Awoyale Olusoji thanked the NSCDC management for the honor and pledged that the officers would rededicate themselves to upholding the values of integrity and loyalty to the nation. The event was attended by family members and senior officials who gathered to celebrate the career milestones of the beneficiaries.
