The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has made significant breakthroughs in its ongoing war against drug trafficking with the seizure of over 1,100 kilograms of illicit substances in separate operations across Bauchi and Kwara States.

Kwara State Operation

In Ilorin, Kwara State, NDLEA officers recovered 532,600 tablets of Tramadol and Exol-5 from three suspects. The psychotropic drugs were being transported inside a truck with registration number KTG-791ZZ. The operatives reportedly acted on a tip-off and successfully intercepted the vehicle before the banned substances could be distributed.

Bauchi State Operation

Similarly, in Bauchi, operatives of the agency intercepted 596.4 kilograms of skunk from a notorious dealer, Jamilu Mustapha, popularly known as "Last Card." The arrest followed an intelligence-led operation that tracked the suspect's movement and uncovered a large stash of the banned substance.

The NDLEA said the successful operations reflect its intensified efforts to dismantle drug networks across Nigeria and curb the circulation of harmful substances fueling addiction and crime.

Authorities confirmed that investigations are ongoing, and the suspects will face prosecution once inquiries are completed.
