Kwara PDP Forms Disciplinary Committee to Ensure Unity Ahead of Party Congresses
The Kwara State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has established an 11 member Disciplinary Committee to strengthen internal conflict resolution mechanisms and foster unity ahead of upcoming party congresses.
The decision, ratified by the State Working Committee (SWC) under State Chairman Rt. Honourable Babatunde Mohammed, aims to address disputes and ensure harmonious operations during critical electoral cycles. In a weekend statement reported by ROYAL NEWS, PDP Spokesman Olusegun Olusola Adewara confirmed the committee's composition and mandate.
Chaired by State Legal Adviser Barrister Michael Aborishade with Barrister A.A. Ibrahim Mosere as Secretary, the panel comprises respected party leaders drawn from all senatorial districts. The committee will mediate disputes, enforce party guidelines, and safeguard the integrity of internal democratic processes as the party prepares for national and state-level congresses.
Other members of the committee are respected and experienced party chieftains drawn from across the state, including:

8. Barr. Kamaldeen Fagbemi Member
9. Alhaji Bala Mahmud Member
This committee is tasked with providing a structured platform for aggrieved members to channel their grievances through the party's internal dispute resolution framework. Its primary mandate is to oversee and resolve conflicts that may arise before, during, and after the party's leadership transition period occasioned by the forthcoming congresses across the State
In line with this, Both the newly constituted Disciplinary Committee and the previously announced Zoning Committee will be formally inaugurated on Monday, 3rd of August, 2024 at the Kwara State PDP Secretariat, Ilorin.
Kwara PDP spokesman, Olusegun Olusola Adewara, stated this in a statement issued at the weekend.
