NALVEJ Hails Governor and Kwara United for 2025 Federation Cup Victory
The National League of Veteran Journalists (NALVEJ) in Kwara State has congratulated Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Kwara United FC's triumph in the 2025 President Federation Cup final.
The league extended its felicitations to the people of Kwara State, as well as the staff, management, and players of Kwara United FC for this remarkable achievement.
NALVEJ described the Harmony Boys' well-earned victory as the result of a deliberate strategy, commending Governor AbdulRazaq for his steadfast support for Kwara United FC and the broader sports sector in the state.
In a statement issued following its monthly meeting at the NUJ Press Centre, GRA, Ilorin, on Wednesday, 2 July 2025, the league urged Kwara United to pursue further success by winning the Confederation of African Football (CAF) trophy for Kwara and Nigeria.
The statement was jointly signed by the NALVEJ chairman, Alh Tunde Akanbi and the publicity secretary, Alh Abdullahi Olesin.
At the meeting, the league unveiled its constitution, following the presentation of the final copies of the document to the chairman, Alh Tunde Akanbi by the chairman of the Constitution Draft Committee, Barrister AbdulRahman AbdulMalik.
The chairman and other leaders of the league praised members of the Constitution Draft Committee for a job well done.
The chairman also led members of the league to the AbdulRasaq road, GRA residence of the late governor of the state, Chief Cornelius Adebayo on a condolence visit over the passing of the Second Republic Governor.
Members, had during the league's meeting took turns to extolled the virtues of the late Adebayo in recognition of his contributions to the development of Kwara State and Nigeria as a whole during his life time.
