Kwara Officials Kidnapped Over Weekend Freed Amid Coordinated Rescue Efforts

Alhaji Musbau Amuda, Director of Personnel Management, and Barrister Elizabeth Arinde, Legal Officer of Isin Local Government Area (LGA), Kwara State, have been rescued following their abduction by armed men last Friday.

LEADERSHIP reported that the officials were freed unharmed by a joint team of security agencies and local vigilantes. Sources confirmed the rescue occurred around midnight on Monday, with the pair transported to Omu-Aran, the headquarters of Irepodun LGA, where they spent the night.

Alh Amuda's wife confirmed the release of her husband and his colleague Monday morning.

Similarly, the chairman of Ibagun Progressive Union (IPU), Alh AbduRauf Ajao Amode and the uncle of the DPM, Alh Raufu also confirmed his release.
