Emir Sulu-Gambari Receives NPFA Cadets, Tasks Them on Loyalty and Duty

The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, received cadet officers from the Nigeria Police Force Academy in Wudil, Kano State, on Tuesday.

The Cadet Assistant Superintendents of Police are currently in Ilorin, the state capital of Kwara, for their attachment programme as part of their training.

Addressing the young officers, the Emir urged them to remain loyal and dedicated to their primary duty of safeguarding the lives and property of citizens. He highlighted that policing has evolved into a reputable profession, commanding respect and pride both nationally and individually, and encouraged the cadets to uphold the values that make it so esteemed.

“Without effective policing system, there cannot be peace and harmony in the society and when the society is not well-secured, the nation cannot witness growth and development that the people desire.”

Speaking further, Alhaji Sulu-Gambari warned the ASPs not get themselves involve in any negative conduct that can truncate the progress of their career adding that “The nation is looking up to you.”

The Emir however prayed Almighty Allah to guide and protect them throughout their years of active service to the nation and humanity in general.
