Kwara Monthly Sanitation Holds Saturday, TESCOM Applicants to Attend Exams
The Kwara State monthly environmental sanitation exercise for February will take place on Saturday, 22nd February 2025, from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM. However, verified candidates for the State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) Computer-Based Test (CBT) will be permitted to attend their examination as directed by the Commission.
This was disclosed in a press statement issued today by the Commissioner for Environment, Hajia Nafisat Musa Buge, regarding the upcoming sanitation exercise.
Residents are strongly encouraged to participate actively to ensure a cleaner and healthier environment.
Additionally, the Commissioner has instructed environmental officers and security personnel to allow movement for TESCOM applicants with verified invitations to their CBT exams. Similarly, workers on essential duties and those handling emergencies are permitted to carry out their responsibilities as necessary.
The statement, signed by the Press Secretary of the Ministry of Environment, Shakirat Muritala, advises the public to carry a valid means of identification to facilitate smooth movement to designated exam centers.
Furthermore, waste management trucks will be available for waste collection and proper disposal at government-approved dump sites.
The Commissioner also reminded the public that dumping refuse on pedestrian walkways, roadsides, drainages, canals, and other unapproved locations is a punishable offense under environmental laws.
