Kwara State Achieves Record Debt Reduction Under Governor AbdulRazaq's Leadership
The Debt Management Office (DMO) has revealed a significant reduction in Kwara State's domestic debt under the leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, who also chairs the Nigeria Governors' Forum (NGF).
According to the DMO's report as of June 30, 2024, Kwara State's domestic debt has dropped to ?59,048,545,486.10, marking a 45.89% reduction from the December 2023 figure. This achievement reflects the governor's prudent financial management and commitment to sustainable economic policies.
The report from DMO in December 2023 put the debt stock of Kwara State at N109,162,798,865.21.
Meanwhile, there are several ongoing infrastructure projects across the State under Governor Abdulrazaq-led administration, highlighting his commitment to making the State debt-free while taking it on the path of unprecedented development through his frugal and compassionate leadership.
