Ilorin Anchor Appoints Alhaji Abdulbaki Jimoh Jabaje as New President

Date: 2024-10-22

PrNigeria reports a key development within the Ilorin Anchor Men and Women Initiative (IAMWI), as the organisation successfully conducted its second consecutive election, resulting in the appointment of new executive members.

The election followed a rigorous vetting process, during which the Electoral Committee meticulously screened all aspirants to ensure compliance with the initiative's constitutional requirements.

Once the screening was completed, the names of the qualified candidates were published on the IAMWI platform, opening a window for feedback from the membership.

With no objections raised, the forum officially elected Alhaji Abdulbaki Jimoh Jabaje as President, Alhaji Ahmed K. Suleiman as Vice President, and Hajjia Rodiyah O. Yahaya as Secretary General.

Others elected include Dr. Abdulrazaq Ibrahim, Assistant Secretary General; Alhaji Garba H. Mohammed, Financial Secretary, Dr. (Mrs.) Khadijat Aiyelabegan as Treasurer and Alhaji Shuaib A. Alabidun as Publicity Secretary

The swearing-in ceremony for the newly elected executives is scheduled to take place during the Annual General Meeting of IAMWI.

In a statement, ELCOM expressed gratitude to the Almighty Allah (SWT) for the successful conduct of the elections and thanked IAMWI members for their confidence and support throughout the process. The committee underlined the importance of community collaboration in executing its mandate.

The elections mark a pivotal moment for IAMWI, as the new leadership prepares to steer the association forward in the years ahead.
