Kwara Government Provides Flying Boats to Riverine Communities, Receives Gratitude
According to a news report from Royal News, the Kwara State Government has presented flying boats to several communities through the fourth disbursement by the State Fadama CARES.
Representatives from six riverine communities in Patigi Local Government Area, including Ellah, Edozhigi, Gudugi, Mawogi, Esugi, and Gbaradogi, expressed profound gratitude to the State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON.
Indigenes, under the umbrella of the Kyeadya Kintin Development Association, gathered at the Office of the Kwara Fadama CARES in Ilorin to commend the present administration for significantly improving their livelihoods as fishermen and easing their coastal engagements.
Playing host to the beneficiaries, the State Project Coordinator, Kwara Fadama CARES, Engr. Dr. Busari Toyin Isiaka, said the gesture of intervention by the present administration is a practical stimulus to the people's needs, noting that such measures were aimed at alleviating the challenges encountered in ferrying across coastal communities.
He further explained that the AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq's led administration truly deserves commendation for its resolve to key into the life-touching project of NG-CARES (Nigerian Covid-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus, now metamorphosing into “Nigerian Community Action Resilience and Economic Stimulus” ).
Busari disclosed that Governor AbdulRazaq is always ready to respond to the people's needs, saying his policies are systematic ways of spreading wealth across citizens of the State.
While urging the beneficiaries to use the items (boats and their accessories) judiciously, the Coordinator reminded the beneficiaries that his office will closely monitor the assets. He also assured the guests of more opportunities from the government if the assets are properly used.
The beneficiaries, who admitted to have received the commercial boats and their accessories, said the intervention will definitely change their condition, adding that extension of the good gesture to those communities have hugely mitigated the challenges encountered at ferrying.
According to their spokesperson and Chairman, Kyeadya Kintin Development Association, Alhaji Ahmed Al-Hassan, the communities involved will continue to praise Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq's sense of appropriate intervention in the areas of people's needs and necessities.
“With a deep sense of responsibility, the association wishes to express its heartfelt gratitude to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for not only aiming at improving the socio-economic activities of our riverine communities but to also enhance our general well-being.
“While wising you continuous guidance and protection, we are looking forward to having more opportunities especially for the upland members among us”, Al-Hassan stated.
