'Go for Victory' – Akoro Charges 3SC Players Ahead Kwara United Tie
Shooting Stars players have been charged to go all out for the maximum points against Kwara United in their matchday 28 fixture.
The Chairman of the club, Babatunde Olaniyan Akoro, gave the charge in an address to the players after their training on Monday.
Akoro urged the Oluyole Warriors to win the encounter to wipe the memories of the painful defeat against Niger Tornadoes.
Shooting Stars will host Kwara United at the Lekan Salami Stadium on Wednesday.
“That loss in Kaduna was a setback for us. If we had won that game, we would have been among the top four teams on the log by now.
“However, on Wednesday, I want you to pacify the fans with a comprehensive win over Kwara United and I know you can do it.
“In particular, I want you to get maximum points away from home because that will go a long way in helping us to actualise our dream for the season.
“I must tell you, no team can yet lay claim to the league title. The race is still open and when you look at the point difference, you will agree with me that it is still wide open”, said the retired referee, who assured the players of the management's continued commitment to their welfare.
