Sanni elated with Kwara United's draw against Sunshine Stars
Kwara United head coach, Tunde Sanni has expressed delight with the team's away draw against Sunshine Stars.
The Harmony Boys held Sunshine Stars to a 1-1 draw at the Ondo Sports complex, Akure, on Sunday.
Promise Awosanmi put the Owena Waves in front in the first half before Abubakar Garba equalised for Kwara United in the second half of the game.
Sanni believed that his players could have gotten the maximum points in the game.
“We started the game slowly, and allowed the home team to take the initiative, but we played our game in the second half, especially after the changes we made,” he stated in a post-match interview.
“We will go back home, go back to the drawing board ahead of the more crucial challenges ahead of us in the season.”
With the draw, Kwara United now have 24 points from 20 matches, and will take on Katsina United at home on Saturday.
