Kwara Community Decries Deplorable Roads
Residents of Maya Ile-Apa Ward in Ilorin East LGA of Kwara State have appealed to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to come to their aid by rehabilitating their roads.
In a statement on Sunday signed by its Chairman and Secretary, Engr Yahya Abdullahi and Sikirullahi Olatunji, respectively, the community said the deplorable roads were negatively affecting economic activities in the area.
The statement reads in part: “We appeal to the listening Governor of Kwara State to come to our aid in respect of the roads that lead into our community. They are currently in a deplorable state and almost inaccessible to motorists thereby putting a chokehold on the economy and livelihood of the community.”
Meanwhile, the community hailed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the appointment of Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu who is from the area as the new Director General (DG) of the National Orientation Agency (NOA).
