The newly appointed Onijagbo of Ijagbo in the Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State, Oba Buhari Adeniyi, has been presented with a letter of appointment.

This comes a few days after the Second Class monarch was picked for the exalted position following laid-down procedures.

State Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Development, Hon. Aliyu Kora Sabi, while presenting the letter in Ilorin commended the people of Ijagbo for the seamless selection of a new monarch, saying the occasion has further demonstrated the respect for the present administration accords the traditional institution in the state.

Sabi congratulated the royal father on his ascension to the throne and wished him a peaceful and progressive reign, urging the people of Ijagbo to join hands with the new monarch to move the community forward, as, according to him, the traditional chief cannot do it alone.

While appreciating the government and the Ijagbo community for finding him worthy of the royal office, Oba Adeniyi assured his people of a selfless service that would strengthen the peace and progress in the community.
