Associates, others pray for Saraki at 60
Prayers were held, yesterday, across 16 councils of Kwara State for former Governor Bukola Saraki, who clocked 60 years.
At his Iloffa Road residence in Ilorin, the state capital, Saraki's cronies, mainly stalwarts of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, trooped out as early as 7.00a.m. to join the prayer session.
Leading the prayer, the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Alhaji Mohammed Bashir, described 60 years of age as a milestone, especially when used to serve humanity.
Bashir, while describing life as transient, urged Saraki to intensify his good deeds but jettison evil, irrespective of its size, noting that the step will remain the catalyst for his political growth.
Dignitaries at the venue took turns to pour encomia on Saraki, popularly known among his followers as 'the leader' and the father of modern Kwara.
