Gov Ahmed Consoles Jonathan over Loss of Brother

Date: 2012-11-21

The Kwara State Governor, Dr Abdulfatah Ahmed has described as shocking the death of President Goodluck Jonathan's younger brother, Mr. Meni Jonathan.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Alhaji Abdulwahab Oba, Governor Ahmed noted that Mr Meni Jonathan's death was more painful due to the fact that he was a very young Nigerian whose energy and vigour were much needed for the process of nation building and the fact that it happened on a day President Jonathan was marking his birthday and nation just recovering from the death of three eminent Nigerians.

Governor Ahmed said the government and people of Kwara State sympathize with President Jonathan in this very challenging hour and prayed that God Almighty would grant Mr President and his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
