Date: 2021-02-02

The Senator representing Kwara Central at the National Assembly, Dr. Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe has joined other eminent personalities from far and near to mourn the death of the late business mogul, Alh. Aminu Umar Saro CFR who passed on late last night.

Oloriegbe in his condolence message expressed that the death of the elder statesman is a big blow that caught Ilorin Emirate unprepared.

"While we are yet to recover from the shock of late Justice Abdulkadir Orire's death and the pains we are nursing from the deaths of two of our students traveling back to their school in Sokoto, there came another heart-shattering news announcing the death of our father, the late Sardauna of Ilorin, Alh. Umar Aminu Saro CFR. This is a big blow that caught us unprepared in Ilorin Emirate.

"The late Alh. Saro is one of our finest elder statesmen. A resourceful business mogul and successful entrepreneur whose exploits spread across Nigeria and beyond. He was a notable philanthropist who contributed significantly to the growth of Ilorin and her people. A peace ambassador and role model to many generations.

"It is very painful that we lost such colossal figure at this period when his wisdom and guidance would be much needed to surmount the challenges facing us as a community.

"I hereby commiserate with his immediate family members whilst extending my condolences to our father, His Royal Highness, Alh. Ibrahim Sulu Gambari and Ilorin Emirate Traditional Councils over this devastating loss. May Almighty Allah forgive his transgression and reckon him amongst those He is pleased with their return unto Him."
