Member representing Omupo Constituency in the Kwara State House of Assembly, Honourable Moshood Bakare, has charged stakeholders in the educaiton sector to complement efforts of the government to promote quality learning.

The lawmaker said this when he distributed educational materials to schools in the eight wards of Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state recently.

Hon. Bakare, who said that government alone could not satisfy all the needs of the people, added that there was a need to establish and sustain a synergy for sustainable development of the people.

He said it was disheartening to know that many parents and guardians lacked financial ability to buy educational materials for their children and wards, adding that the exercise books he donated to schools in his constituency would assist conducive learning and educational growth.

He, therefore, enjoined the community to make judicious use of the educational materials by distributing them to their children for their educational growth, adding that they should not sell them.

The lawmaker, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Works and Energy, also said that he planned to embark on water projects in all the eight wards of the state constituency, as the dry season sets in.

Hon. Bakare, who said the gesture would be on continuous basis, added that the aim behind the donation was to impact on lives of his people.

He also distributed yards of textile materials to members of his constituency and N50,000 to each of the eight wards.
